Everyday Makeup

Maybelline Concealer in Fair | Maybelline FIT ME foundation | Maybelline FIT ME blush | NYC Sun n' Bronze bronzer | Rimmel Fix & Perfect Face Primer | Maybelline Chic Naturals Eye shadow duo | Maybelline Rose Glimmer Lipstick | Rimmel Exaggerated Eye Liner | Lancôme Mascara | L'Oreal Pencil Liner

Hello girls! My everyday makeup routine is quite simple and doesn't take me much time in the morning. I don't like to put tons of makeup on my face because I still want my natural face to show! If you know what I mean. :) I just use the basics. I first apply my face primer then my foundation with my hands. Yep don't use any brushes yet. Just my clean, freshly washed hands! Then I use bronzer and blush to add some much needed color to my face. My eye makeup routine is really simple. I just put eyeliner on both the top and bottom of my eye (liquid on top and then pencil on bottom). Then, of course I add some mascara to both my top and bottom lashes. It opens up your eyes and adds so much to your face! Then, I use the eye shadow to fill in my brows. I have really been into that lately, and like how full my brows look.

DIY Bedroom Wall Art |Easy & Girly

Today I was working on some art for my room. I have this bare wall that I have been going back and forth on what to do with it! Sometimes I just can never decide on a plan because I always change my mind...lol. All I know is that I don't want to spend $50+ on art in stores so I created my own!

I had decided to make a couple of collages using pics from magazines. It is an inexpensive way to create some unique pieces for your space. I just planned out my magazine cut-outs and then glued on to some thick construction paper. I also used colored pencils to decorate the collages. It adds a new element to it! After I used Mod Podge to add a nice finished shine and to make sure all the cut-outs wont fold over. I think they turned out pretty cute!

For my next piece of art, I got really creative. I used LIP STICK. Yep you heard me right. I really like the puckered lip kiss design and thought why not use my own lips to make a custom (literally custom) print. So cheap because all you need is your desired lip color of choice and paper. After the lipstick is completely dried on there, add some Mod Podge to finish it off.

I think these will look great framed on my wall. I'm thinking some modern white frames would look good! Tweet me photos @MariahKPeterson if you make any of this artwork!

Style Style: Keepin' It Casual

T-shirt>>Cotton On | Sweatshirt>>Cotton On | Skinny Jeans>>American Eagle | Scarf (I tied into a cowl!)>>American Eagle | Flats>>so old don't honestly remember | Satchel>>Typo

Hello there!

So, this is honestly a really cute outfit for those casual days where you still want to look put together. I put my hair in a large and high bun using a bun form. This is great for those mornings you don't want to spend a lot of time doing your hairdo. Then I took my light blue hoodie that looked like the picture and put it over a white graphic tee that had black lettering on it! I threw on my dark wash skinnies and grey flats which are both comfy staples that most girls have! The accessories were my black satchel (perfect to carry your books in) and a navy blue stretchy scarf that I tied and made into a cowl. Multi-functional baby! This outfit is simple to recreate but still gives you inspiration for your daily style.

PS: found this photo a long time ago and it lives on my bulletin board. Don't know the source. Sorry. Loved the outfit tho!

August Favorites

Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil by Organix | VIVO Dead See Minerals Facial Peeling | NYC Longwearing Charming Rose Crème Nail Polish | NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk | Cotton On Striped Tee | Target Black Sequins Hat

These products I have been enjoying lately! The VIVO facial peel is gentle and leaves skin soft and smooth while getting rid of dead skin cells. The Moroccan oil has made my hair more tame, soft, and healthy. I love this nail color! It is a nice transition into fall color because it is the perfect mixture of red and pink but on the darker side--so rose is a good word for it :). The jumbo eye pencil is great for highlighting the inner eye and under the brow bone. Lastly, I have loved black and white together and the hat is just fun because of the sequins!
